Touchback is a story about getting a second chance at life. Murphy, husband and father of two, is a small town farmer and volunteer fireman in Ohio. His glorious football days were cut short when he was critically injured during a playoff game, losing any opportunity he had for a college scholarship.
Now, his family’s survival teeters on the success of Murphy’s soybean harvest. Facing bank foreclosure, Murphy suffers yet another tragic blow when his fields frost over and his harvester breaks down. All seems lost. Murphy contemplates a dark solution to his money problems – cashing in on his life insurance policy. He passes out during the attempt, only to wake up young again, back in high school the week before the life-changing state championship game. He has a chance to do it all over again and alter the course of his destiny.
